Moving Paint

With a steady camera and the use of artificial lightning, this project aims to capture the different stages of moving paint across ordinary objects –metal, canvas or organic residues–, creating energetic landscapes through the distortion of the original elements.

This work was born of a reflection on the temporality of human perception; how we create our idea of something or someone based on fractioned views of temporal stages. This concept illustrates the photographer’s view of how we see other people: we choose to define them as a collection of specific instants of their lives, like snapshots of a moving painting: constantly changing, yet captured and preserved in distinct moments.
